Its the Fusion kit with 10X8, 12X9 and a 14X14 with a 22X18 kick. The heads they have on it are Aquarian Performance II's and a Super-Kick bass head. The snare has a stock tama coated head on it. The set is amazing though! i wish i had a picture to display on here. Its also got everything mounted on a Gibraltar rack system. Not sure wich one but still looks awesome. They its finished off with a 12" Tymp mounted by the floor tom.
Like i said. It must be nice to be so easily impressed by low end drums.

Spike...Spike...Spike Do I need to show my low end kit again?

O.K. I hear ya when you say that when new the Imperialstars were only a couple hundred bucks cheaper. I bought my Imperialsars brand new in 1982 (took Delivery Jan 15, 1983), and although I'll never sell 'em, I immediately regretted not geting the Superstars. I also regretted not getting double headed toms. In the late 80's I had the toms cut at Jack's drum shop in Boston to mount the hardware needed for double headed toms. Finally, about 10 months ago...got the Superstar kit that I really wanted, except that I got CAR which was not available in late 1982. Oh well, lots of good memories in the Imperialstatrs, and they're in almost mint condition, so no complaints!
After 25 years...finally got the kit I wanted in the first place! Although I'll never part with my Imperialstars, love my Artstars, but mmmmm...Candy Apple Red Superstars!

The first pic is my Imperialstars when I bought them in 1981. In 82 I was involved in a serious motorcycle accident that broke my right leg up pretty bad. Still wanting to play while I was in a cast, I unfortunately added a 5 piece set of Westbury's in the same colour so I could use my left leg on the kick untill my right healed.

This is the first photos of my new setup. 1980's imperialstar. Cost: a few hundred bucks WITH hard cases. (Purchased in Oct 2009) Notes: This photo is before putting the bottom heads on. It was quite a chore to clean and scrub all the dirt and grime from the kit. 1. Kicks: 24x14: Left kick is getting new tom mount plate. It is retrofitted with newer spur. They have ps/3 batters on the batter side. 2. The kicks have wood front hoops from the previous owner. It is stacked on top of the original hoop and gives the drum about 1" more depth. 3. I got rid of the (ugh) blue hydraulic heads and put pinstripes on top, clear ambs on bottom. 4. I am considering retrofitting the 15" and 10" with bottom lugs. But with so many drums, I don't need to. 5. The 18" Ft has an internal damper. Works great just touching the head. Drums: Rack: 6/8/10/12/13/14/15/16 Floor: 16/18 Kick: 24x14 Snare: Dw edge 13x7. Cymbals coming soon.

I have added bottom hoops, with clear g1's. Also, I removed the out of place maple hoops. I am awaiting a 15" pinstripe and a kick mount for the left kick. I found one on ebay.
