Hey there! I have been searching around for my next drum kit (Upgrading from Pearl EX Export) and Tama's Superstar Hyper-drives just draw me in. I have seen the videos and done some research and it seems that these are high quality and great sounding kits. Yet some good friends suggest I stick with Pearl and buy a Vision set. I can't decide!!
So some help would be nice please, let me know how your superstar kit treats you and how you would compare it to some of the other kits on the market.
I'm all for Tama, but I am looking for the best kit for my money.
All the best, cheers.
Medic.

you'll have to compare the sound of both kids yourself. That would be the best suggestion for you! As for me, I'd go with the TAMA, but that might be just as good an advice as your friends' to stick with Pearl. Only if you like the sound/looks/features better you should buy the superstar. I don't know the Pearl Vision (havent heard it).
good luck man!
p.s. TAMA looks better :)

Well I have watched the Tama Hyper-drive videos and I really adore the sound of Jason's kit on the third film. I watched the pearl vision video with Morgan Rose and the sound was good, but not where I like it. But I'll go down and have a bash through some kits and see which are better.
And yes, Tama kits are gorgeous!
