As you may know from my vintage STAR drumsets, I love those old kits.

What I found out on ebay (especially USA) is, that there apparently
exist a lot of other vintage brand names (like Apollo, Artist Ltd., Champion,
Drum Craft, Ideal, Jason, Lido Supreme, Lyra, Stewart and Werco) which
have equal lugs and bass drum mounts etc. like STAR.
Especially Werco seemed to also use the 'one touch' damper control knob ...

So: were STAR drums sold under other names as well or did those brands only
use the same/ very similar hardware parts bought in Japan or elsewhere?

Is here an expert for the history of STAR drums, who can clarify this?
