Hey bedrock was that kit always a 6 piece or do you have the other bass drum cause I have the exact same kit but mine is a 7 piece double bass 22,12,13,16,18. Its hard to find out much about these kits. I've only seen one picture of them on Tamas history page.

No, but they aren't exactly "Vintage". I left the main topic in the Vintage thread so it can still be seen in there, but it's located in here now. Thats all. Ad Finem FidelisTAMA: The Strongest Name In DrumsThe Complete History of Tama Catalogs! How To Tune A Snare Drum: Educational Video From TAMA.

ehh i guess ima have to post a pic of my set soon :D its nothin really big just started as a reg 5 pc rockstar toms: 12 & 13 floor tom: 16 bass: 22 then i decided to add another floor and another rack, but... much to my misfortune... i had to get them as superstars the main thing is their new lug design, the idea of not letting the tube touch the drum is great, but the design sorta bites... but ya anyways back to the 2 addons: floor tom: 14 and rack: 10 gots me a pair of 14"sabian paragon hi hats, 16"AA thin crash 16"b8 pro rock crash 18"AAX chinese 10"AA mini hats a 20" b8 pro heavy ride and a reallllllyyyyyy thrashed paste 18 fast, not sure what modle (signature series maybe?) but yah i got it for free with a small crack, ive played on it soo much that it crackd alot more and a peice broke off :/ lol
7 pc. white rockstar Sabian cymbals promark sticks tama hardware
ARTWOOD, UR KIT IS INCREDIBLE- i really am speechless, howd u do it?????
It's actually so easy to do, it's unbelievable.
I simply went to Jo-Ann (you know, the women's fabric and craft store)
and purchased about 2 yards of camoflauge fabric for $10-$12 or so. The
kit was already wrapped in black wrap. Which is very helpful in terms
of both getting the fabric to stick to the shell, and making it easy to
cut the fabric before the bearing edge, once wrapped (usually it's hard
to do this with a standard wrap on a bare shell, or even worse, a shell
that's had it's wrap removed, what with it's old glue residue).
Before I even wrapped the shells, I removed the tension rod threaded
inserts from the lug casings, and spray painted them with Krylon
Wrinkle Finish paint, which gives it a rough textured feel. Then I
removed the lugs, and applied my usual wrap glue to the existing wrap,
and literally wrapped over the wrap and badge with the fabric. I cut it
of course under one of the lug casing spots.
I used a soldering iron to perforate the fabric where the lug casing
screw holes go, so as not to allow it to rip over time. As for the
green paint I only found one of this olive drab can of paint, otherwise
the entire hardware would of been olive drab.
I made sure to scuff up all the chrome before I painted it, so as to
allow the paint to bond, and as usual I used Bulldog Adhesion Promoter
as my primer.
I expected the kit to sound like crap after I wrapped it, but it
doesn't sound half bad with the Ebony resonant heads and the Ambassador
batters. I may even go to clear Ambassador batters.
The kit is just for show though. I'm in the Army's Rock band, and we
travel around a lot and do shows, so I though it would be neat to do a
cheap travel kit that I don't mind if it gets beat up a lot, and looks
good on our gigs.
Too bad the Army is getting away from BDU's (battle dress utility) and
moving on to a different kind of camoflauge (ACU - Army Combat
Uniform). So I'm going to have to re-do my kit in about a year.
Oh, and to answer someone's question, yes I am actually in the Army,
they do not hire a band to perform for them. And even the guy that
drives the Army funny car, and the super bike, those guys are actually
in the Army too.
