Yo. I haven't got a Tama YET and I was planning on my parents getting me one for Christmas. Aaaanndd I was looking at Rockstars on E-bay. I've been playing since early March and I'm not bad. Anyone got any suggestions on a year/model that's not too much that would be a good kit?

<P>Easy, sell your rockstar to a respected buyer in exchange for money... Money is used to exchange for goods and services you see... Once you have enough of that, you can a buy a superstar. Hope that helped...</P>

Well, upon selling the Rockstars, you won't have anywhere near enough money for the same set up of Superstars.

I can't upload a pic of mine, but it is a black 9 piece double bass rockstar. I also play with a 5 piece swingstar set on the side, kind of a mike portney thing.

<P>Hey ,</P> <P>As a new member I'll give a shot of my Rockstar Custom. Last weekend bought some new cymbals and hardware (Tama of course) to have a basic set (after 1,5 year non-drumming).</P> <P>2 days ago I removed all heads to clean the kit and the bearing edges. Yesterday bought the new stuff and tried it out today. After used Remo for a time I had finaly the chance to try Aquarian heads. All I can say is WOW, I quickly tuned the kit and it spoke whit a nice round tone. (never had sush a good sound out of my Rockstar).</P> <P>Well here's my kit <IMG src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0"></P> <P><IMG src="http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h197/Clone285051/TamaI.jpg" border="0"></P> <P><IMG src="http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h197/Clone285051/TamaII.jpg" border="0"></P> <P><IMG src="http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h197/Clone285051/TamaIV.jpg" border="0"></P> <P><IMG src="http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h197/Clone285051/TamaIII.jpg" border="0"></P> <P><IMG src="http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h197/Clone285051/TamaV.jpg" border="0"></P> <P><strong>Specs. : 22" bass ; 12",13" toms ; 16" floor tom. Aquarian Superkick on bass, Response II on toms, Classic clear on bottem, Hi-Energy on snare.(<IMG src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0"> amazing sound)</strong></P> <P>And lastly my Sabians <IMG src="smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0"></P> <P><IMG src="http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h197/Clone285051/SabainIV.jpg" border="0"></P> <P><strong>14" AAX X-Celerator hats</strong></P> <P><IMG src="http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h197/Clone285051/SabianIII.jpg" border="0"></P> <P><strong>16" AA Medium tin crash</strong></P> <P><IMG src="http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h197/Clone285051/SabianII.jpg" border="0"></P> <P><strong>18" AAX Studio crash</strong></P> <P><IMG src="http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h197/Clone285051/SabianI.jpg" border="0"></P> <P><strong>20" Hand Hammered Leopard ride</strong></P> <P>I hope you like it.</P><edited><editID>Clone285051</editID><editDate>2006-7-9 17:4:57</editDate></edited>

<P>Thanks <IMG src="smileys/smiley9.gif" border="0"></P> <P>BTW ,don't mind the throne ... the Ergo rider whit backrest will come in a few weeks.<BR>Next week I've to clean my cymbals (fingerprints) and tune the kit fine (especially the bassdrum).</P> <P>A question I have whit the double pedal : do I have to mount the beaters in the center of the head of a little higher? Also I can't get them in the middle of the drum (probably normal whit a double pedal).</P><edited><editID>Clone285051</editID><editDate>2006-7-9 17:21:9</editDate></edited>
