My Swingstar is set-up almost the same as the one above except my ride is a little higher. I'll get pics up when I can.

Both my snare are fitted with texture coated, my piccolo (aux. snare) has the powerdot. Great head, I'm going to try thin modern vintage for my matched snare though.

looks great, did you put a finish on the shell? if not, then you should clear coat it.

Wow I never thought the outer ply would look so good, which year is your set coz it look like the FAST tom size. I'll maybe do the same but in couple of years and leave the kit to it natural teint and put just some clear gloss.

You have done a good job though. Did you remove the vent/badge gromet ?

its an 05, and i have to tell you, its extremely hard ot get the badge off - lucky for my, my mom is a carver- I'll rip the badge off, and get a new gromment, then have my mom carve in tama swingstar and the serial number - You'll need 3 things to do it - screwdriver, long razor blade, and a whole bunch of patience! it took me 7 hours to do it. alone. but maybe thats cause I'm thirteen. But on the bright side, i can buy any color tom off ebay, cause ill be taking the wrap off anyway!

Those drums look really nice,,you have done a good job and you should be proud. It is not easy taking badges off regardless if your 13 or 54. When I was 13 I could not walk or talk yet,,just started feeding myself at 12,,,,,,,, Good job dude
