BROKEN VARI-PITCH BEATER HOLDER on IC roller glide double pedal. The cheap pot metal outer casting on the main pedal has cracked. This is really frustrating. I have been trying to get replacement parts. Guitar Center is a total waste of time. I've been waiting for someone in the Drum dept. to get back to me for 4 days now. Does anyone have any other suggestions as to get some parts. I can't believe that Tama made this part out of Pot metal. If you don't crank it down, the beater slips. If you crank it down, it cracks. Any help would be appreciated

I sure hope the SpeedCobras hold up better than this when they come out.

They probably will. I also get the feeliing these seem like isolated incidents. At any rate, sorry to hear it dude. Make sure it's the outer casting you need off this diagram:

Assuming it is, give us a call at 800-669-4226 and we can get you set up with a replacement on order.

older iron cobra vari-pitch beater holders were notorious for breaking when over tighten. newer versions of the pedals vari-pitch resolved this problem as they are now built so they cannot be over tighten to the breaking point.

Hi Tom, I spoke to Matt. Tama is out of stock till the end of November. He's going to look around. If he finds one, he said he will send it out.
Thanks to all for the help.

Oh Matty. Which one, the one off here(forum)??? Maybe the other one in the office. Probably the other one.

Fortunately for you, he was sadly mistaken. Call that number again, and ask for me. I'll get you set up.
