Now that I got a high quality kit, my new 5pc B/B, I actually care what heads I put on them. I have always just used Evans genera g2s w/ Evans resos, which actually are the heads that come on the B/B. Anyone want to fire over some suggestions or preferences my way that sound good on this amazing kit? Thanks.

The stock heads you already have are a pretty good choice..remo equivalents are emperor top and ambassador bottom (which is what i have on my maple kit)
if you prefer extra dampening then the Evans EC2-SST are a great choice too..

I am gonna switch mine to Evans EC2 Clear. I was told they would give
me better lows.

BTW...what finish is your kit?

Thanks for the input. I am going to try out the remo's you mentioned. Those are the one's that interests me most. My finish is Harvest Dusk. Pics will be up tomorrow, hopefully.

You could also try a Coated Remo Emperor for the batter heads on the toms.

If you end up with a need for a little more focus....do yourself a favor and try the Remo Vintage Emps.....one word....AWESOME!!!!!

I have them on my bastard Maple/Mahogany kit and the sound is just AMAZING!!!

I've also heard them on some 100% Birch Performers and everything thats great about that shell is just enhanced and focused.

Of course I can understand wanting to be able to view the insides of those gorgeous Bubinga shells.....but the sound IS whats important.

I use Remo vintage coated batter and Ambassador reso. They have just the right amount of reso for me. They also tune great. I have Powerstroke 3 batter and an Powerstroke 3 Ebony reso on the kick with a Kickport. Awesome!Happy

I have been using the studio x clear with nice results. I would give the vintage heads a try as well.
