Now that the marching stuff is being released and the tom set has 6" toms I would guess that we would be able to get regular Bubinga toms in 6" now.. Right?? Not that I need one but I get bothered alot about how I got mine!!

I was hoping with the marching stuff that they would have a 6" diecast but... sadly no..

I've had a 6" x 6" SC Bubinga TOm in UVS for 3 years. Its special order but can be done. I also have 6" x 6" SC Maple and SC Performer Birch as well as a 5.5" x 6" SC Maple concert tom. "Special Order" is your friend!

I'm curious about 28" bass drums now that they are making them for marching lines I wonder if they'll be available as special order in other SC lines.

Hey gong, how you been? Yeah I was one of the first to get a Binga 6" if you remember, But I was just wondering if they had any intentions of perhaps doing a 6" cataloged. I would have prefered a 7 or 8 inch depth that I do know! I have a 28X18 Superstar (Old) with rosewood veneer inside and out That I just threw some old Slingerland hoops on to see how it sounded and I'll tell you what! Hard to control and I'm not crazy about not being able to get the beater closer to the center. I'm sure someone makes some contraption to raise a pedal up.. I need to get this thing dialed in a bit more (Aquarian Super Kick II and Remo black dot for sure.. I hate muffling!!) but 28" is alot of wood and alot of head!!

hahha.... that's right I stole the 6" Bubinga idea from you! Been a long time how's everything?

I have a 14" x 26" SC Maple bass drum as well as the 14" x 26" Custom SC Mirage BD and they are both huge sounding kicks! In reality I don't think I'd have any practical use for a 28" but it did seem like a cool idea when I saw that they had them in the marching line! As did a 16" bass drum. I wasn't aware Tama ever did 28" bass drums even in the 80's, interesting!

I may go for a marching snare just because I do try to get that sound on overdubs for soundtrack stuff every now and then. I usually use a 10" snare and then double or triple track the same pattern on 12" snare and then eq them with a HPF filter at like 500 Khz. We'll see... not doing anything till after the holidays and NAMM anyway.

Any new stuff for you coming up?
