last month i ordered the HT750C throne from a dealer online, and it worked for a day then gradually sunk down until the feet didn't touch the ground and the hydraulic mechanism stopped working completely. i'm not huge (5'11" 170lbs) so i know i didn't 'destroy' it, lol. i immediately notified the store i purchased the throne from about my problem last week so that they can send a new tripod, and i send back the broken one. however, today i went into a sam ash music store(not the store i purchased from) and they had two HT750C thrones that looked identical until closer inspection. the collars that have the tama 1st chair stickers differ as well as the height that the hydraulic center tube is to the floor. i could fit my finger under the hydraulic center tube of one throne and the other i could not. was the HT750C improved on recently and the old models recalled? i just worry that i will recieve another old model when i should be getting the new. i think the throne is great and i chose it over the roc n soc. the build quality worries me though.... unless it has been fixed. should i specify the 'Production 2009/1-' model that i see on the parts page to my dealer? my dealer e mailed me today and is still working on a 'return authorization' for the tripod so i am waiting. here are pictures of the offending tripod. as you can see the collar has sunk down completely, skinning the tama sticker off.

Sorry I've missed this. Thanks for the PM. There isn't a known issue with these really. However, if you're dealer is sending it in, chances are it will be replaced with the current production models. (assuming it's replaced.) What store was this thru? We can take a look into it and try to have them contact you with a status. Thanks!
