Bottom line is that modern Superstars (I assume you're referring to the
Superstars of the modern era and not of the 70's and 80's vintage) have
the capacity to be more resonant and also have a wider tuning range due
to the wood material and die-cast hoops. <br>

So if you prefer the wood of your Rockstars more than the Supers, then your statement would hold true, *for you*. <br>

Then again, if you're saying that your modern era Rockstars (assuming
you have the post '97 Rockstars and not the DX,DK,RK,RM era kits), then
I'd have to agree with you that modern Rockstars have a better 'out of
the box' sound. It's still a matter of personal preferance though, and
I'm limiting my comments to their range and scope, not to the
aesthetics of sound<br>
