How does the Protean sound?

I love the way Harrison makes his snare sound, it is so smooth and crisp- pretty sure even with his gear I could never get it to sound like that, hahahaha.

Warm, full with a real sweet crack! It's a thin she'll drum, so without any damping it has a nice open tone. Mine is equipped with an Evans UV1, with the medium dampening ring (it comes with 3) and the 8 strand snare wires. It's a sweet snare bro

I'd LOVE to post pics of my rig at gigs, but soooooooo many of the venues have a backline that I would soon rather forget LOL

This one I can share.... the rig I used for the recording of a tune from Andra Day for the Rise Up NYC project. Note that the kick mic hadn't been placed yet lol

Link to cell phone video of one of the final takes, just look for the bright blue kit.... dats me :)

Was the audio feed just vocals and piano?
What kind of headphones are those?
I missed the drum face. :(

Taken a while ago. I don't play with those o-rings unless the tune calls for it. That mixer died and has since been replaced.

CB, pic of the headphones below. They were wireless, and the feed was a click track with a mix of the other musicians. Not quite isolation as they were on-ear but they served the purpose.

As far as the drummer face, well, it was in full effect.... I got comments but no video to prove it lol

Yogi- that kit looks awesome! Clap or maybe I'm just mesmerized by the carpet Happy

How many drummers does it take to screw in a light bulb?
Five: one to screw in the light bulb and 4 to talk about how much better Mike Portnoy could have done it XD
