If they did this in 1982, Stewart would be all over them.. Even Sting would love them Happy
It is actually the same colour and process as used on Stewarts ride ain't it?

Paiste first did colored cymbals in 1984. I don't believe the process has changed. This blue on the 900s isn't the same as on the Copeland ride. I'll post a pic later.

I've only played it for a few minutes so far, but not really digging it. It's much more dry and short than I thought it would be.

Yeah, it's a different alloy in this line of cymbals. And the colour of the alloy affects the end colour of the cymbal Happy

Here's my latest acquisition.
It's a 1979 Tama Superstar Natural Maple.
The dimensions are 22X14, 12X8, 13X9, 16X16.
It goes pretty well with my vintage Tama Bell Brass.

Beautiful, Yogi. I'm actually shopping for a brass snare right now, shortlist consists of the Stewart Copeland signature and the Starphonic brass, how does the Mapex compare? Any others drums you'd consider taking a look at, I'm guessing you've played quite a few!
