What are some good alternatives that allow embedding pics into posts?

Every single pic I've ever posted using PB is now gone due to their required paid subscription service which would then permit third party hosting but now costs $40/month...... yeah no thanks Wall

TamaDude Photobucket does have a cheap paid version for about $10/year.
Faster download and upload speeds. None of the third party stuff you mention ???

ooppss..I spoke too soon I have the AD free version that only has 2GB of storage.
I don't need much more.

Your looking at 500GB storage, and now I see the third party hosting.

$40 is too much.

Solution #1: Set up a directory in your own website (e.g., www.sundaybravenj.com/pic_bucket) and allow "hot linking" to certain web sites such as this forum, eBay, etc. Load as many images as you want at any size and you're good to go.

Solution #2: Sign up as a member on https://imgur.com and use their server to host photos.
Edit: I just read the Imgur terms:
Quote:
About images you upload
You can upload images anonymously and share them online with only the people you choose to share them with. If you make them publicly available, they may be featured in the gallery. This means that if you upload an image to share with your friend, only your friend will be able to access it online. However, if you share an image with Facebook, Twitter, Digg, Reddit, etc., then it may end up in the gallery.

That means your pics will randomly appear in their public gallery feed. Think

Here's a pic hot-linked from my site:

The Infamous Waterphone.

From Flickr.com

It's kinda weird how it tends to change the color of the shells.

Oh wait never mind. I forgot. I just grabbed one each of the different shell packs to make one kit.

Can anyone guess what kits made up this conglomeration?
